About Me

Hi, I’m katie.

I’ve been bartending for nearly 20 years, so I’ve seen—and served—just about everything.

Over the years, I’ve worked everywhere from neighborhood bars and restaurants to fine dining and private events. I’ve had extensive training in craft cocktails, wine and spirits, and I’ve completed BarSmarts Basic and I’m ServSafe Alcohol certified. I’ve developed cocktail menus, trained other bartenders and servers, and poured more drinks than I could possibly begin to count.

I also have an entirely separate career.

I have a B.S. in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from Clemson University and a Master of Public Health from the University of South Carolina, along with a Graduate Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies. I’m the founder of Zenger Strategies, where I work with nonprofits on strategic planning, facilitation, research, and other decidedly non-bartending things.

So why start a bartending company?

Because I’m good at it, I have a lot of experience, and I love throwing parties and making people feel welcome. And after years of helping friends organize events, mixing drinks, planning parties, and being the person who inevitably ends up making sure everyone is having a good time, I figured I might as well make it official.

My approach is simple: I want to know what you like, what your people like, and what kind of night you’re trying to have. Then I’ll bring the experience, organization, and hospitality to make it happen—without you having to spend your own party wondering whether anyone needs more ice.

Currently, I live in Columbia with my husband Patrick, our daughter Kes, and three black cats. I’m into sci-fi novels, hiking, hot yoga, punk rock, public health, painting, and drawing. Can’t wait to meet you!
